As intense as Romeo & Juliet, this classic follows the story of Manon, a young woman torn between two lives: privilege and opulence with a wealthy gentleman, or innocent love with the penniless student she has fallen for. Wanting it all will be her downfall.
Aristocrats, courtesans and beggars fill the stage to take you from a gambling den in 18th century Paris to a desolate Louisiana swamp, and tell this dramatic story. A tragic romance to compete with any period drama, Manon is also full of magnificent choreography, and a sweeping score performed live by the English National Ballet Philharmonic.
