Manchester Arndale Reveal New Murals

Shoppers at Manchester Arndale can now snap some photos of two brand new giant murals dedicated to the city.

Street artists Lei-Mai LeMaow and Mr Penfold worked through the night over a week to create the Mancunian-themed pieces of art.

The first piece, surrounds the much shared message ‘A City United’ alongside the Manchester Worker Bee in celebration of the city’s community spirit and heritage, as well as its long-standing love of football. The second mural, features ‘Love Manchester’ messaging along with the Worker Bee.

Lei-Mai LeMaow lives in Manchester and, as well as focusing on her art, runs the Toromai streetwear brand. Mr Penfold works across the UK as an artist and designer, and has worked with various record companies as well as on campaigns for the likes of Smirnoff and Microsoft.

Lisa Hawkins, Head of Marketing at Manchester Arndale, said:
“Manchester is filled with street art masterpieces, and the centre is surrounded by beautiful murals, particularly across the road in the Northern Quarter. We wanted to celebrate this and bring a little more artistic flair inside for shoppers to enjoy in 2018. We hope Mancunians and visitors to the city alike will enjoy taking a quick snap to share from their day out.”
