Manchester’s Greatest Run is Back

With a 13.1 mile closed road route around this diverse and energetic city, you will pass several iconic landmarks, including two well-known football stadiums, and run down a traffic free Mancunian Way, before finally claiming your finish line feeling in the shadow of the Beetham Tower.

Or follow the tried and tested 10k course that takes in the outstanding sights of the city, such as the Imperial War Museum and The Lowry, passing by the famous Coronation Street cobbles as it snakes out of the city and back where the 47-storey tower marks the finish line.

On course entertainment, charity cheering points, music and amazing atmosphere will keep you motivated as you take on your own 10k or 13.1 mile personal challenge.

For a bit of friendly rivalry in the work place, the event also hosts the Business Challenge across both distances for small, medium and large businesses, open to male/female and mixed teams, supported by the Greater Manchester Chamber of Commerce.

Be part of a fantastic weekend for the whole family, which starts on the Friday evening with the free to watch Great CityGames Manchester – a unique elite sporting event that attracts some of the world’s top athletes on a purpose-built track in the heart of the city centre, before it’s the turn of the children on Saturday 27th May as they take on the Simplyhealth Junior & Mini Great Manchester Run for ages 3-15 years.

Find out more and enter either the 10k or half marathon at www.greatrun.org/manchester

Entries for the half marathon will close on Monday 6 March – don’t miss out!
