March is coming up and there are some great shows and acts to see in Manchester. Let’s go through a few of the options for next month. (Links with * are affiliates)
Les Misérables
The highly-acclaimed Broadway production is in Manchester right now until the end of March. Since Cameron Mackintosh first conceived this new production of Les Misérables to celebrate the shows 25th anniversary in 2009, it has taken the world by storm as well as inspiring the movie version starring Hugh Jackman, Anne Hathaway and Eddie Redmayne.
Motown The Musical
Motown the Musical is on a major UK and Ireland tour, it will be at the Manchester Opera House from Tuesday 26th February to Saturday 23rd March 2019. The production will have a live orchestra playing 50 Motown tracks including Ain’t No Mountain High Enough, I’ll Be There, Dancing In The Street, Stop! In The Name Of Love, My Girl and I Heard It through the Grapevine and tells the story behind the classic hits.
Peter Andre
It has been 25 years since Peter Andre first burst onto the Australian music scene. Now the internationally acclaimed, global media star is back with a 24-date tour throughout the UK in early 2019. See him at the O2 Apollo Manchester on the 1st March.
Best In Stand Up at The Comedy Store
With various comedy nights on offer, the 2nd March brings us The Best In Stand up with 5 comedians taking to The Comedy Store stage.
Joanne Shaw Taylor
British blues rock guitarist and singer, Joanne Shaw Taylor is at the O2 Ritz Manchester in March, see her show on the 17th.
Glengarry Glen Ross
After its sell-out run in the West End wowing critics and audiences alike, the dark humoured production of Glengarry Glen Ross is touring the UK. It’ll arrive in Manchester on the 25th March at the Opera House.
Busted
Busted are back and coming to Manchester in March, you can see them at the Manchester Arena on the 28th.
The Chicago Blues Brothers – Motown Mission
Right at the end of the month you have the chance to see this Blue Brothers hit show. The Chicago Blues Brothers are heading for Detroit to take on some of the biggest and most loved Motown anthems along with all the Blue Brothers classics you know and love. See the show at the Opera House Manchester on the 31st March.
